The Hathaway shirt factory was the working hub of Waterville for generations but due to outsourcing had to close. Developers Tom Niemann of Niemann Capitol of North Carolina and Paul Boghossian bought the complex. The $40 million renovation project to turn the old Hathaway shirt factory into a commercial, retail, office and residential center got a super reception last January 2008 as a crowd of over 300 people turned out for its groundbreaking celebration.
